Barcelona have no plans to bring Oscar Mingueza back to his old club. With the player insisting he is more focused on Celta Vigo than anything else.

Barcelona sporting director Anderson Deco has revealed he has no plans to bring Oscar Mingueza back to the club in the future. As some media outlets previously reported, according to Ufabet on Friday.

Barcelona’s allow Mingueza to join Celta Vigo in the summer of 2022 for just €3m. But the Blaugrana still hold 50 per cent of the player’s rights. However, Deco has dismissed the idea. Insisting that Barcelona have no plans to bring Mingueza back to the club. Even if it costs just €10m of the player’s €20m release clause.

Oscar Mingueza has played down talk he could leave Celta Vigo and return to former club Barcelona.

The defender has been mention as a possible target for Barcelona. As the club hold a buyback option on him and are short of options at right-back.

‘We don’t plan to bring him back now. He’s in good form and of course we always look at good players,’ Deco said. 

Mingueza, meanwhile, said of the issue: ‘I don’t think about it right now. I’m focus on what I’m doing. I’m very clear. I know what I want.’

‘Now I want to stay with Celta and have a great season, ยูฟ่าเบท both individually and collectively. The coach and the board have told me what I want, I am very clear. I am focus on having a good year and with Celta.’

Mingueza and Joshua Kimmich are the two names the rumor mill is currently throwing around regarding right-back options for next season. For the current campaign it seems Jules Kounde will continue with Hector Fort as back-up.
